Our Aims
- To advocate for the elimination of domestic violence and sexual assault amongst non-English speaking background communities in Queensland through the provision of information, support, counselling, crisis intervention and social welfare services.
- To facilitate the empowerment of women from non-English speaking backgrounds particularly those in situations of domestic violence and/or sexual assault, through the provision of information, counselling, support and social welfare services.
- To work towards the elimination of violence against women, particularly women from non-English speaking backgrounds.
- To increase cultural sensitivity and appropriateness of response within the community generally, and amongst service providers specifically, to non-English speaking background communities, particularly women.
- To work in accordance with feminist principles and to promote the concepts of cultural, racial, gender and class equality.
