Summary: The story of Sanja in the child care centre, and her family going about their everyday lives, shows that their lives are anything but "everyday". With the use of archival footage, children's drawings, and the voices of people who have come to Australia as refugees we learn something of the frightening situations of surviving in war zones, escape into exile, and striving to settle in a foreign country. We also observe how a child care service and a co-operative team of parents, staff, supplementary services worker, and the torture and trauma service may benefit children like Sanja.
