dvconnect provides the state-wide domestic and family violence telephone service across
Queensland, comprising three specific services:
dvconnect women’s line FREECALL 1800 811 811
dvconnect women’s lineis the state-wide 24 our, 7 day a week service to women and their children experiencing domestic and/or family violence. This service is staffed by a team of professional counsellors who provide crisis intervention, support, information, advocacy, telephone counselling, referrals and state-wide coordination of emergency refuge and shelter placements across Queensland.
- Refugee and Immigration Legal Service (RAILS)

RAILS can provide free immigration legal advice by telephone to women and services throughout Queensland. A RAILS Case Worker can provide preliminary advice by telephone and in some cases may be able to represent women as a Migration Agent. RAILS can also provide referral to registered Migration Agents throughout Queensland. The RAILS website provides information and resources, including information on accessing the Domestic Violence Provisions within the Migration Regulations.
- Legal Aid Queensland (LAQ)

LAQ can provide free legal advice and where eligible LAQ can provide legal representation on family law or domestic violence matters. The LAQ website provides information on Domestic Violence Protection Orders, and applying for Legal Aid.
